Back to my blog | Photos by Jay Heiser | Obsolete: Abandoned & Post-Industrial | Waterside Woolen Mill

Established in 1860, the Waterside Woolen Mill is one of the last operating woolen mills in the USA.  Over the course of a century and a half of operation, its collected some character and some components, making it something of a photographer's paradise.  I spent 5 hours shooting on a recent November Saturday with a group from Northern Virginia Photographic Society.
